SJC Promotional Card Event
All Shonen Jump’s Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Championship Tournaments award four promotional cards during the event. The first three are awarded to the top three players of the main event, and the fourth is given to the “Best Side Event Player”.
The way the Best Side Event Player is determined is through participation in Yu-Gi-Oh! side events. Each Yu-Gi-Oh! side event that you participate in will generate you some “Best Side Event Player Tickets” based on the attendance of that event:
- 4 - 8 player events = 1 ticket
- 9 - 16 player events = 2 tickets
- 17 - 32 player events = 3 tickets
- 33 - 64 player events = 4 tickets
- 65+ player events = 6 tickets
In addition, the winner of each Yu-Gi-Oh! side event gets additional Best Side Event Player Tickets equal to the number they received for entering. Your chances in the Best Side Event tournament will be kept at the Yu-Gi-Oh! Side event stage. You will never receive a physical Best Side Event Player Ticket.
The cutoff time to accumulate Best Side Event Player Tickets is 5:00 pm on Sunday. At that time we will choose four (4) unique players to compete in the playoffs for the title of Best Side Event Player.
The four players will be determined at random and will continue until we have selected four unique people. Players must be present to compete, and if a player is not present two minutes after their name was selected their name will be discarded and a new one selected.
Play for the second Shonen Jump's Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Championship promotional card will begin at 5:15 PM Sunday. It will be Advanced Format, single elimination. There are no other prizes involved.
You can play in as many events as you wish. However, if you play in more than one event in a one-hour time span, you will not receive any Best Side Event Player Tickets for any event after the first that you participate in within that hour.
Also, all Yu-Gi-Oh! Regional events will feature double Best Side Event Player Tickets both for participation and for winning!

- Please watch your possessions.
Do not leave your items unattended. Professional Event Services, LLC, its partners and venues are not responsible for lost or stolen materials. You bring materials at your own risk. - Trading is fine.
However, anyone attending the event that buys, sells or solicits other players to do either will be asked to leave the event without refund. Note that offering items such as iPods or PSPs is the same as a cash transaction. This applies to both the buyer and the seller. Professional Event Services, LLC, its partners and venues are not responsible for any "bad" trades nor will we offer any trade advice. Your trades are your own risk. - Sportsmanship is very important.
Professional Event Services, LLC greatly values sportsmanship. Poor sportsmanship can lead to warnings, game losses, match losses and disqualification from the tournament. Poor sportsmanship includes trying to trick another player, lying, arguing with an official as well as most other forms of bad behavior. Poor sportsmanship impacts all attendees to the event and reflects poorly on you. At all time, treat other players like you would want to be treated. - You do not lose your cards when you play in tournaments.
You always keep your own cards at the conclusion of a tournament. You do not lose them to other players for any reason. - Tournaments have entry fees.
We always accept cash. In some events we also accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Sorry, we do not accept personal checks. - Be on time for the start of your tournaments and for the start of each round.
In order to get everyone out on time, we need to start as soon as possible. If you are late for a tournament or a round, you may be dropped from the tournament. - Swiss Format? What's that?
There are two main formats for tournaments - single elimination and Swiss. In single elimination when a player loses a match, they are eliminated from the tournament. Booster Drafts are an example of single elimination tournaments. In a Swiss format event, players are not eliminated from the tournament and will be paired for the next round regardless of whether they won or loss their last match. You can play every round of a Swiss format tournament no matter what your record is. - Questions? Ask them!
We love questions! If you have a question, please ask an event official (in either the red or green staff shirt or the black/white judge shirt) and we will do our best to answer your question.
