Do not leave your items unattended. Professional Event Services, LLC, its partners and venues are not responsible for lost or stolen materials. You bring materials at your own risk. - Trading is fine.
However, anyone attending the event that buys, sells or solicits other players to do either will be asked to leave the event without refund. Note that offering items such as iPods or PSPs is the same as a cash transaction. This applies to both the buyer and the seller. Professional Event Services, LLC, its partners and venues are not responsible for any "bad" trades nor will we offer any trade advice. Your trades are your own risk. - Sportsmanship is very important.
Professional Event Services, LLC greatly values sportsmanship. Poor sportsmanship can lead to warnings, game losses, match losses and disqualification from the tournament. Poor sportsmanship includes trying to trick another player, lying, arguing with an official as well as most other forms of bad behavior. Poor sportsmanship impacts all attendees to the event and reflects poorly on you. At all time, treat other players like you would want to be treated. - You do not lose your cards when you play in tournaments.
You always keep your own cards at the conclusion of a tournament. You do not lose them to other players for any reason. - Tournaments have entry fees.
We always accept cash. In some events we also accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Sorry, we do not accept personal checks. - Be on time for the start of your tournaments and for the start of each round.
In order to get everyone out on time, we need to start as soon as possible. If you are late for a tournament or a round, you may be dropped from the tournament. - Swiss Format? What's that?
There are two main formats for tournaments - single elimination and Swiss. In single elimination when a player loses a match, they are eliminated from the tournament. Booster Drafts are an example of single elimination tournaments. In a Swiss format event, players are not eliminated from the tournament and will be paired for the next round regardless of whether they won or loss their last match. You can play every round of a Swiss format tournament no matter what your record is. - Questions? Ask them!
We love questions! If you have a question, please ask an event official (in either the red or green staff shirt or the black/white judge shirt) and we will do our best to answer your question.
